As we’ve discussed, this is the legislative session in which the Columbia River Crossing will either get a commitment for the local share of funding, or will likely die for the lack of it. MoveOn.org is now hosting a petition to urge Oregon legislators to deny that funding and promote the “Common Sense Alternative.”

It lets you choose where you think the station areas should be for High Capacity Transit (but you only get to pick five!) and also gets your input on modal and community investments. Kitzhaber Proposes CRC Funding
The Business Journal is reporting that Governor Kitzhaber’s announced budget includes bonding authority for the Columbia River Crossing, without getting specific about the funding source.
