Public Day at the Carfree Cities Conference


The upcoming Carfree Cities conference includes a “public day” for the citizens of Portland. It’s free of charge, but DOES require registration:

June 16th – 20th

Towards Carfree Cities is an international conference making its North American debut in Portland this year. Hosted by Shift, the conference provides a forum to discuss diverse issues in sustainable transportation and urban livability. Free Public Day events are listed here. The conference is hosted by Shift, the World Carfree Network, Portland State University, The City of Portland, and Carfree City, USA.

  1. Unfortunately, this happens to be on my High School’s last day of school. Finals, no less. Will these presentations and exhibits be online in any form afterwards? I am still very much interested in seeing them, even if I’ll only be there in spirit.

  2. Chris, any chance you could post information about this webcast when it becomes available? I’m a Portland transplant now with a transit advocacy group in the Twin Cities, and i’d like more information.
