The second annual Streetcar Mobile Musicfest happens tomorrow. It’s a great opportunity to check out the new ‘CL’ Loop line.
The musical groups will be on the vehicles between the Leftbank building and OMSI. Here’s the schedule:

So I decided to give the event a try. What a waste of time. The Streetcars aren’t keeping any kind of schedule. I’ve spent most of the evening waiting for streetcars where the arrival times displayed are complete fiction. There is no excuse for a board that promises an arrival in four minutes or three minutes for TWENTY MINUTES STRAIGHT. Not just once; THREE TIMES so far. This is NOT new technology and it shouldn’t be more than a couple of minutes off.
Also, compounding the time waste, the second car I caught had no music on it.
