  1. so much for infrastructure spending as stimulus… this is roughly the same amount of money as is spent in a normal year.

    Thank you for acknowledging that 10% of the money should be spent on bicycling, and 5% on walking. And have you seen the carpool facilities in this city? Other than I-5N, and a couple parking spaces around town, they obviously haven’t spent 5% of the money on that either…

    That is pathetic. So let’s use the stimulus money to increase transit infrastructure and subsequently, transit utilization and get more cities up to New York-levels of ridership, starting with Portland.
