Looked at in that light, the most dangerously habituating substance of the 20th century was gasoline.
Maybe autonomous vehicles will help. I hope so.

Ummm, yes it is. If there was a way to travel on a bike as quickly, safely, and comfortably as a car most people would do it. But there isn't.
