Apps to the Rescue?
Via Planetizen:
I've written before that carpooling/ridesharing may be fundamentally a social networking problem.
Now the New York Times is reporting on a bevy of apps trying to take on the problem from that direction.

I just heard that TriMet is trying to post QR codes at all stops by this fall, which is pretty awesome since it was first suggested on this very blog.
Woohoo! (It's even easier than loading an app to type in 4 numbers!)
