A Good Time Was Had By All
Since the weather forecast suggested showers might show in the early afternoon, my partner and I headed out early to the first Sunday Parkways event of the season, only to be greeted by clouds and an occassional sprinkle (while the afternoon was sunny of course).
But no one's spirits were dampened and I'm looking forward to the remaining two events!

Bob R. Says:
My partner and I were out there around noon-ish, did the full loop. A few times the "showers" were more like "downpours", and people stopped to dry off and socialize under various larger, leafier trees.
At first the turnout didn't seem as much as last year, but as time went by the crowds grew significantly.
Peninsula park was just beautiful today, the rose gardens in full bloom.
We didn't see as many folks out in wacky costumes this year... perhaps the drizzle kept people in everyday attire.
Looking forward to the next two events.
