As I've mentioned here before, much of the mess that is happening now and will probably be happening in January could have been avoided. Instead of a line that will slow down buses and be subject to disruptions (both ones caused by itself, i.e. crashes, and caused by others, i.e. parades and protests), TriMet could be boring a tunnel under the utilities and bringing fast, reliable & efficient service that attracts thru-downtown riders.
