Lenny Anderson Says:

Note that the Oregon Trucking Assoc. is pleased...projects are paid for with bonds paid off my increased registration fees, but the major beneficiary is the trucking industry. Most of these bridges would continue to be no problem for lighter passenger vehicles.
Now I know that moving freight helps us all...I know this better than most, but it seems that these improvements should have been paid for with an increase in the weight/mile tax. Curious that the legislature did not even consider asking voters to approve a gas tax increase, but went to bonds instead...a more costly route.
Most motorists think freight IS the problem...which is easy to understand when you are on an Interstate and one truck is passing another and you are stuck.
