I run a livejournal community centered around Trimet. It has nothing as technical as what you'd find here in portlandtransport.com. It is mostly everyday complaints and observations about service for instance all the funky things trimets online trip planner has been up to, occasionally there are quirky and interesting posts like how to get from Salem, OR to Vancouver, BC completely on public busses.

Anyway... anyone who is interested should check it out.  If you'd like to post you have to create a livejournal (a community based blog service) account, you can comment without one, but we prefer that you create an account for indetification purposes.

Again that url is:

I'm in no way truing to take the wind out of the sails of the community discussed in this post.  It just seemed pertinent

Sigh...I was actually wanting to start up a TriMet blog to get ideas on service changes and other issues. However, its something that should be done by an insider and an insider I'm not.

That being said, I do hope to start a "TriMet history"-sort of site with old maps, schedules and such. For now, I have collected a bunch of TriMet-related links on my web site. Oh, and I watch the LiveJournal community along with this one and am responsible for some of the anonymous postings.
